We all have a "pandemic story", and we believe it is important for people to share their stories with authenticity, safety, and perhaps laughter! Allow us to be your "artful guides" in this nonjudgmental, natural, & inspiring setting along the Kenai River. This Integrative Arts Retreat promises to nourish you "from the inside-out". WRITING JONATHAN BOWER is a clinical therapist, freelance writer, & musician based in Anchorage. He has led creative writing classes & workshops since 2011. Jonathan holds an MSW as well as an MFA in Writing. Jonathan is currently working on a collaborative, experimental music project with a group of New York City musicians, Out of Our Depths, which will release in winter, 2021.
PAINTING DAVID VANO is an abstract / landscape painter, represented at Stephan Fine Arts in Anchorage, Alaska. David teaches High School History, Writing, & Literature. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry).
JANUSZ GILEWICZ is a New York based painter from Poland. He prefers to approach art without a critical mind, rather allowing his subconscious to lead the creative process. "There is so much more fun when I focus on the process rather than the final art piece."
YOGA KARA TROGLIN is a Certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor. She specializes in yoga for mental health, restoration, & alleviation of depression & anxiety.
(Proof of vaccination is required. A liability waiver will be sent to you a couple weeks before the retreat)
